Second Birthday Cake

I made this second birthday cake for my nieces daughter. She turned 2 this past year. She loves Yo Gabba Gabba. It's a very popular children's show. My grandson also LOVES the show.

So for her second birthday celebration I made her a Foofa cake. Foofa is one of the monster characters on the show. The sweet friendly little pink monster with a daisy in her hair. She LOVES flowers.

The cake was a two tiered cake which was a lemon butter cake with English lemon curd filling. The frosting was butter cream.

I used fondant to make the Foofa character and the little daisy's on the cake. She loved her Foofa cake soooo much that they kept the fondant figure for her on a shelf and every morning she says hello to her.
